1. Introduction
WakeZen ("we", "our", "the app") is a smart alarm app that helps you wake up with mission-based challenges. This policy describes how we handle your information.
2. Data We Collect
- Alarm settings (times, labels, mission types): stored only on your device.
- Progress and streak data: stored only on your device.
- Sound and app preferences: stored only on your device.
We do not collect personal data for our own analytics or advertising.
3. Device Permissions
The app may request:
- Alarms: to schedule wake-up alarms (iOS AlarmKit).
- Camera: for the Photo mission (to dismiss an alarm by taking a photo).
- Motion: for the Shake mission (no data sent off-device).
You can revoke these in iOS Settings at any time.
4. Third-Party Services
- Apple: in-app purchases (subscriptions) are processed by Apple. See Apple's privacy policy for their handling of payment data.
- Advertising: if the app shows ads (e.g. Google AdMob), ad providers may collect data according to their policies. You can limit tracking in iOS Settings.
- We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit your alarm or progress data to our servers. Keep your device secure to protect your data.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
